How is the bZ's Electric Performance?
The Toyota bZ is stepping up its game with electric performance that's not only more efficient but a lot more fun to drive. A new, larger lithium-ion battery helps certain models reach an impressive estimated range of up to 314 miles on a full charge, so you can go farther with fewer stops. On top of that, AWD versions now pump out up to 338 horsepower, which is 50% more than before, and can go from 0–60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. FWD models now deliver up to 221 horsepower. Meanwhile, there's regenerative braking to stretch your efficiency and upgraded eAxles designed for stronger, smoother output!
How Can I Charge the Toyota bZ?
Charging the 2026 Toyota bZ is designed to be simple and convenient, whether you're at home or on the go. An enhanced onboard charger allows for faster Level 2 charging, and an all-new North American Charging System (NACS) port gives you access to thousands of public charging stations nationwide, including the Tesla Supercharger network. With DC fast charging, you can go from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes, making it easier to go for long road trips. Plus, the bZ supports Plug & Charge technology, which automatically handles identification and payment at various charging stations, so you can plug in and charge without juggling multiple apps.
What are the New Design Features for the 2026 bZ?
The Toyota bZ is adding some new design features, as well as a new name, for the 2026 model year! In previous years, it was known as bZ4X which has been refined to simply bZ for 2026. On the outside, it features a redesigned front fascia with slim LED daytime running lights, updated lighting elements, and a smoother, more streamlined appearance. Inside, the cabin has been upgraded with a larger 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, two front wireless chargers, premium soft-touch materials, and customizable ambient lighting with 64 available colors. The instrument panel has also been redesigned for a more refined, user-friendly layout!
